Sauerkraut Schi with Mushrooms

Sauerkraut Schi with Mushrooms is an old Russian recipe. Soups are very popular in Russian cuisine. This soup is one of many and It's very tasty dish.


 You will need :

50 g dry mushrooms;
1 medium carrot;
1 medium onion;
2  parsley roots;
5 pepper peas;
1 Tb flour,
Salt and  sugar to taste;
Black pepper to taste;
Vegetable oil.
 
  Preparation:

 Soak prewashed  mushrooms in water for 2-3 hours, then boil them in the same water. Mushrooms will be ready when they drown on the bottom. Wash them in running water.

 Strain mushroom, cut in strips and fry in oil.
 

 Chop sauerkraut finely, stew with a little sugar, 1/2 Tb vegetable oil, 3 Tb water on average heat until it is soft and tender.

 Chop all other vegetables and roots  and fry them in vegetable oil.

 Put sauerkraut`, mushrooms and fried vegetables in mushroom water.

 Fry flour on dry pan until it is golden. Pour in a little water and stir well, then add to Schi.

 Season Schi to your taste. You can use potatoes instead of  flour.

 Serve Sauerkraut Schi with Mushrooms  with chopped greens and sour cream.
