Grandma's Sponge Cake

This is one of my favourite Grandma's Recipes.

  You will need:

3 cups flour;

8 eggs;

2 1/2 cups sugar;

2 1/2 cups butter;

3 Tbsp lemon juice.

  Preparation:

Separate egg whites from the yolks
. Beat egg yolks with  sugar.

 Soften butter, add it gradually to yolks and sugar, then beat all until white.

 Add lemon juice. Then gradually add  flour.

 Beat egg whites in a separate bowl, then
carefully add them to the dough.

 Grease baking form with butter, sprinkle with sugar bottom and sides.

 Fill  form with the dough
halfway and bake in oven for 1 hour at 330-340F.

 You can decorate
Grandma's Sponge Cake with cherries or other berries, or fruits.
