Russian Desserts: Сookies the Roses

Сookies the Roses

 This is my mum's cookies recipe and one of my favourites. I hope you will enjoy it! And they look like little roses too.

   You will need:

250 g unsalted cottage cheese;

250 g margarine;

2 eggs;

10 Tbsp flour;

1 cup sugar;

200 g walnuts.

   Preparation:

  Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Add room temperature
margarine, cottage cheese and flour to the yolks and knead the dough.

 Divide the dough into 4 pieces, make balls and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then roll 4 pancakes.

 Beat egg whites with sugar until foamy and cover  each pancake with it. Then sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts.

  Roll each pancake into a tube and cut it into pieces of 2 cm.

  Dip  bottoms of cookies in the flour and put them on a greased baking sheet.

  Put baking sheet in a preheated to 350F oven and bake 20-30 minutes until
Сookies the Roses light golden brown.
