Beef Stroganoff is a famous old Russian recipe, that is also very tasty.
You will need:
2 lb lean beef tenderloin;
2 cups broth or water;
4 Tbs flour;
4 Tbs ketchup;
5 0z sour cream;
1 Tbs flour;
1 Tbs butter;
Salt and black pepper to taste.
Cut beef in long strips.Then season with salt and pepper and roll in flour. Chop onion and fry in pan with oil till light golden brown. Then add beef.
Cook till beef is light brown.
Fry flour with butter for 1-2 minutes, till flour light golden brown.Then add sour cream, ketchup, salt, pepper and broth.
Cover beef with sauce and stew on a very slow heat for about 20 minutes. Don't let sauce to boil!
Serve Beef Stroganoff with fried potatoes, rice, pasta or vegetables.
